The 2017 StemCellTalks Symposium in Ottawa was a huge success – over 100 eager high school students attended the event to learn about stem cells. Xplore Lab’s Marissa Lithopoulos guided the day as the dynamic MC! The morning session covered topics from stem cells 101 to the use of stem cells in clinical trials, and the afternoon session explored the ethical dilemmas regarding stem cells. Students left the Symposium enlightened about the exciting and innovative field of stem cell research!
The event was organized in partnership with Let’s Talk Science and the Stem Cell Network. Executive committee members included Zhaoyi Chen, William Chen, Tanya Foley, and Marissa Lithopoulos.
